Hours: Approximately 10–20 hours per week

Metropolis Resort is currently accepting applications for our Resort Hospitality Management Intern position! This internship is designed to give students a hands-on introduction to resort operations, guest service, leadership, and the many career opportunities available in the hospitality industry.

As a Resort Hospitality Management Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes of a busy resort and learn how different departments work together to create a safe, professional, and memorable experience for our guests.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in hospitality management, hotel management, tourism, event management, food & beverage, recreation, or leadership to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced resort environment.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in a resort orientation and tour to learn about Metropolis Resort, our culture, service standards, safety expectations, and guest experience.

  • Observe and assist with welcoming guests, answering questions, handling requests, and providing exceptional guest service.

  • Shadow two or three different resort departments to learn how they contribute to the overall guest experience.

  • Participate in supervised, hands-on projects such as preparing a welcome package, assisting with an event, or reviewing the guest arrival experience.

  • See how our teams handle guest questions, concerns, complaints, and service recovery.

  • Meet with resort managers and leaders to learn about hospitality careers, leadership, and opportunities for growth.

  • Learn how departments communicate and work together to keep resort operations running smoothly.

  • Complete a final reflection and share key takeaways from the internship experience.

Department Exposure May Include:

  • Front Desk: Check-in/out, reservations, guest communication, and property systems.

  • Housekeeping: Room standards, inspections, inventory, and team coordination.

  • Food & Beverage: Service standards, events, sanitation, and point-of-sale systems.

  • Activities & Waterpark: Splasharoo, scheduling, guest safety, and the recreation experience.

  • Events:Group arrivals, event setup, timelines, banquets, and vendors.

  • Sales & Revenue: Group business, pricing, forecasting, and occupancy.

  • Resort Operations: Maintenance, emergency procedures, and behind-the-scenes operations.
