Hours: Approximately 10–15 hours per week
Metropolis Resort is currently accepting applications for our Human Resources & Culture Development Intern position!
This is a hands-on opportunity to learn what happens behind the scenes to attract, welcome, train, support, and celebrate our team members. You’ll work closely with our Human Resources and Training & Development teams and experience the employee journey from the first interview through onboarding, training, engagement, and recognition.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in Human Resources, recruiting, training & development, hospitality management, leadership, communications, or employee experience.
Recruiting & Hiring
Learn the basics of recruiting and the interview process.
Help review applications and prepare for interviews.
Participate in interviews and learn how to ask effective interview questions.
Help communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
Attend local job and career fairs and represent Metropolis Resort in the community.
Onboarding & Training
Help prepare for new team members’ first day and onboarding experience.
Attend monthly New Hire Orientation and learn what it takes to successfully welcome new team members.
Learn how to teach and facilitate training, including assisting with or leading portions of training when appropriate.
Learn how to prepare engaging training and communicate information effectively.
Culture & Team Member Experience
Work alongside the Director of Training & Development to learn what it takes to build and maintain a strong team culture.
Help plan employee appreciation events, celebrations, and team activities.
Assist with recognition and finding new ways to make team members feel valued and connected.
Help create a positive experience for team members from their first interaction with Metropolis and throughout their time with us.
Assist with HR and Training & Development projects that help our team learn, grow, and succeed.
Eager to learn and excited to gain hands-on experience.
Passionate about welcoming, supporting, and connecting with people.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and organized.
Friendly, approachable, and comfortable communicating with others.
