Metropolis Resort is currently accepting applications for our Marketing & Community Outreach Intern! As a Marketing & Community Outreach Intern, your primary responsibility is to help Metropolis Resort stay connected and involved in our local community while supporting our Marketing and Sales teams with a variety of projects and events.

A big part of this position is representing Metropolis Resort at community events, fairs, expos, and other outreach opportunities. You’ll help us show up prepared, create positive interactions with attendees, and find creative ways to make our presence fun and engaging.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, being creative, and taking initiative. You’ll have the opportunity to work independently at community events while also gaining experience in marketing, sales, event coordination, community outreach, and project support.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Outreach & Events

  • Research and identify local community events, expos, fairs, and other opportunities where Metropolis Resort could have a presence.

  • Help coordinate and attend approved community events on behalf of Metropolis Resort.

  • Create and maintain event checklists to ensure booth materials, signage, giveaways, and supplies are prepared.

  • Comfortable with working alone on booth setup, teardown, and interacting with attendees during events.

  • Bring forward ideas for games, giveaways, displays, and other ways to improve engagement.

  • Provide feedback after events on what worked and what could be improved.

  • Keep community outreach supplies and materials organized and ready for upcoming events.

Donations & Community Partnerships

  • Assist with incoming donation requests and maintain the donation request pipeline.

  • Track request status, deadlines, fulfillment, and follow-up.

  • Prepare approved donations for pickup or delivery.

  • Help ensure community organizations receive timely communication and materials.

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Assist with preparing PR boxes, promotional packages, and other outreach materials.

  • Create and print simple group and event signage, including directional and informational signs.

  • Assist with creating and updating room maps and event setup diagrams.

  • Help prepare materials and signage for meetings, parties, and group events.

  • Provide general project and event setup support to the Marketing and Sales teams as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Friendly and comfortable talking with guests and community members.

  • Organized and able to keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Dependable, especially when representing Metropolis Resort at community events.

  • Willing to take initiative and look for ways to improve how we do things.

  • Creative and able to contribute ideas for community engagement.

  • Comfortable working independently once given direction.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Able to communicate and work effectively across teams.

  • Willing to occasionally work evenings or weekends based on community event schedules.

  • Basic familiarity with Canva, Microsoft Office, or similar programs is helpful but not required.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Marketing & Community Outreach Intern helps Metropolis Resort stay visible and involved in the community while making life easier for the teams they support. Community events are organized and engaging, donation requests stay on track, materials are prepared on time, and smaller projects continue moving forward.
