Are you a results-driven leader with a passion for hospitality and sales? Metropolis Resort, a premier destination with an indoor waterpark, family fun center, trampoline park, and 10,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales and Catering to lead our sales and events operations.
With 111 guest rooms, a family-friendly environment, and exciting amenities, Metropolis Resort is the perfect place for families, corporate gatherings, and special events. As our Director of Sales and Catering, you will play an active role in selling the resort with the intent to drive revenue, developing key relationships, and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. This is a hands on position where you will be selling and facilitating events.
5 Years + Proven experience in sales and catering leadership within the hospitality industry, preferably at a resort or multi-amenity property.
Strong track record of achieving or exceeding revenue goals through innovative sales strategies and team management.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Knowledge of catering and event planning, including working with various types of clients and events.
Ability to analyze market trends, financial data, and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
Strong customer service mindset with excellent relationship-building abilities.
Familiarity with hospitality sales software and tools is a required, Event Temple is a plus.
Sales Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to maximize room bookings, event sales, and catering revenue.
Identify and target key markets, including corporate, social, and leisure segments, to drive growth and exceed revenue goals.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated team, including Catering Manager, Sales Manager and Sales Coordinator.
Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment that focuses on delivering exceptional service and achieving business objectives.
Event & Catering Sales:
Sell and oversee the sales process for meetings, weddings, corporate events, and other group bookings within the resort’s 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
Work closely with the Catering team to ensure seamless execution of events, from initial inquiry to final delivery.

Revenue Management & Forecasting:
Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals.
Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to the executive team.
Marketing Collaboration:
Work with the marketing team to create promotions and campaigns that highlight Metropolis Resort’s unique offerings and drive demand for rooms, events, and catering services.
Represent the resort at trade shows, networking events, and community engagements to promote the property and attract new business.
