Step Into Trevor’s World

If you’ve ever wondered who makes sure our resort doesn’t run out of pizza boxes, those adorable stuffed animals in Action City, or even garbage bags (seriously, you would not believe how quickly we go through those!) let me introduce you to Trevor. He’s been here over 14 years, worked his way from pizza duty to running the show for everything that comes through our back doors, and is so beloved we put his catchphrase on a t-shirt.

Trevor calls himself “the behind the scenes guy,” and he truly is. He might not always be out on the floor with you and your family, but without him, you’d notice the difference real fast, especially when snack time hits!

The Real Shopping List

People always think the biggest orders must be the flashy arcade prizes or new tech, but honestly? You’d be surprised. Trevor is the king of the not-so-glamorous-but-totally-essential orders: garbage cans, winter rugs, birthday balloons, and (get this) ten cases of pizza boxes every week just to keep up with waterpark cravings and party pizzas. We’re talking next-level Tetris in our storage rooms.

If Trevor took a week off from ordering, we might not notice for a little bit, but by week two or three? The soda would be gone and the party plates would disappear!

Trade Shows & Candy Comas

Staying on trend means Trevor hits the circuit at some pretty quirky trade shows: Halloween, Christmas, candy expos, you name it. The big one every year is IAAPA in Florida, where we get the scoop on amusement park games, redemption prizes, and every possible vending machine or plush animal you can imagine.

True story: at the candy show, Trevor comes back with like 25 pounds of goodies. Let’s just say the office staff has mixed feelings about October…

Planning for Every Season (and Expansion!)

What a lot of people don’t realize is how far in advance we have to start placing orders. Anything custom (like play cards or new gift shop swag) takes four months, sometimes longer. Even swim goggles have to be ordered in bulk because you can’t just call up vendors in January and expect them to have stock for an indoor water park!

Now, with our big Action City expansion, Trevor’s been working with me to make sure our new gift shop will open with the coolest prizes, snacks, and surprises. He's dealt with tariffs, shipping headaches, and trying not to get bumped by the “big guys” (Disney, looking at you!). It’s wild, but so worth it when we picture kids running in, eyes wide, ready to pick out their next favorite thing.

At the end of the day, everything we do comes down to making your family’s visit magical, from the first slices of pizza to the wild new rides like our spin coaster or mini golf (and yes, we tested them all at IAAPA and had an absolute blast). I cannot wait for everyone to see what’s coming!
