It’s been an exciting week here at Metropolis Resort, both at home and across the country! From construction milestones to exploring the latest in family entertainment, here’s what we’ve been up to:

Big Progress on Our New Parking Lot

Construction crews have been hard at work this week, and our new parking lot is really taking shape! The drainage system is now complete, the area has been filled with gravel, and paving is underway.

Fun fact: the lot is engineered to handle enough water flow for a 100-year flood event, making it both durable and future-ready.

Once the final touches are done and the parking lot is ready for use, we’ll officially move on to the next major phase which is starting the foundation for our new expansion building. Big things are coming, and we’re excited to keep sharing the journey with you.

Learning & Growing at IAAPA

Members of our team spent the week in Orlando, Florida at the IAAPA Expo, one of the largest Amusement and Family Entertainment Center conferences in the world.

During the trip, our team:

• Met with current vendors & partners and connected with new ones

• Tested out fresh arcade games and attractions

• Attended educational sessions

• Attended a Lunch & Learn with Walt Disney Imagineering

• Toured Fun Spot America, Orlando's only family-owned amusement park

Events like IAAPA are an incredible way for us to find new ideas, discover innovative attractions, and bring back inspiration to enhance the guest experience at Metropolis. We also picked up a few surprises and made progress on planning for our upcoming expansion!
